Walgreens: week of 4/5/09

Visit It's Hip to Save to see the upcoming week's sales at Walgreens.

I will probably do the Colgate Total deal several times. I have quite a few $1.50 off coupons, which means I earn $1.50 every time I use one. Plus, I get free toothpaste to donate. I may also try to get some of the Schick razors--to go with all the shaving cream I got this week to donate.

I am waiting on the Physician's Formula deal, as it should go 40% the week of 4/19.
The Skintimate and Edge Shave gels are still free after RR, and will run that way all month.

Nature Made Vitamins will be B1G1. Use $1 or $2 coupons from the 1/4, 2/1 or 3/1SS

Someone also made note of finding Seventh Generation cleaners on clearance for $2.29. If you find this, there are also $1 off printables on the Seventh Gen. website.
Strawberries have been spotted at Walmart (and maybe Summerfresh, too) right now for $1.10/1 lb carton. Sounds like a good price for freezing!
Thanks Lisa!

Sunday Inserts 4/5

If you are wondering whether to get a paper on Sunday, I would say this is a good week.
There are supposed to be 5 inserts this week (2 SS, 2RP, and 1 PG)! I recommend picking up the Kansas City Star to maximize your coupons.

HERE is a list of the coupons in tomorrow's paper, and HERE for the PG insert. (Keep in mind, it may not be an exact match for our papers.)

Blog Biz

Save Green, Live Green is now over a week old! If you are just now finding it, feel free to scan some of the older posts. The "Intro" posts mention a little of what I am trying to do here.

Just wanted to point out some features. Concerning blogging, I am learning as I go.

If you would like to receive new posts by email, feel free to sign-up for that on the right.

You can also email me anytime with any ideas or feedback. I would love to hear if you find a great deal or event of interest--whether it be regional or beyond. Or, just drop me a line and let me know if something has been of use.

You can follow Save Green, Live Green by signing up also.

My next goal is to add a Search feature soon. (fingers crossed)

Feel free to forward a link on to friends that might be interested.

I think the future of the blog, whether it be hobby or consistent resource, largely depends on how helpful it is found to be.

Price Cutter: week of 4/1

I ran to Price Cutter today and noticed a couple things. I will say that my PC does not have the organic section, so I rarely know if there is anything on sale there, unless it is in the ad. Feel free to email me if you see a noteworthy sale.

Smart Chicken boneless, skinless breasts $3.99/lb for some

Natural Imitation Crab/Lobster 10/$10 This seems like a great stocking up price. It is wild caught Alaskan pollack mixed with crab or lobster. No dyes, etc. Now I need ideas on what to do with it. Stir-fry or crab dip come to mind--not very creative, I know.

Campbell's Harvest Select Soups 2/$3.00 (don't have to buy2) I know there is a $.50/1 coupon, which would double (PC doubles coupons up to $.50) and make it 1/$1.

It seems like all of the Farmland All Natural pork products are on sale this week. We are well stocked on the bacon (which is uncured), but if we weren't, $2.69/pack is a great price. There is also lunchmeat (I think they have turkey and ham) on sale, as well as some other things.

Sargento cheese is also on sale. I think it was $2.49/8 oz. pk? This is also for the Artisan cheese. Looks like this sale runs till 4/21.

Bank of America gives Free admission to Museums

Bank of America members will receive free admission to over 70 Museums around the country on the first weekend of every month. Go HERE to read more about it. I would be more excited about this if there was a museum in MO on the list, but if you are traveling, it would be nice to know about.
