Grocery Highlights: Week 7/1--Updated

Price Cutter

Wow! PC is running some great deals this week. LINK to ad.

Here is what I noted as good deals:

First off, there is a coupon in the ad for a $10 mail-in rebate off $10+ purchase of steak or seafood!!! You need to get the form at the Service Desk.

Creekstone Farms Beef Top Sirloin is $4.99/lb (I'll prob. get as close to 2 lbs. as possible)

Kraft Dressing $1.57, Use $1.50 or $1 off q's

Pace Picante 10/$10 use This is for the little jars, and the q's don't work =(

Borden Specialty Sliced Cheese (DH loves pepperjack) $1.79, use $1/1 q

Brown Sugar 2/$3 (there is a $.65/2 q on smartsource.com right now--Found $.30/1 insert q--doubles))

Smart Chicken, whole fryers $1.69/lb

Sargento Cheese Slice 2/$5, use $.40/1 q = $1.70ea

Farmland Bacon 2/$5 use Farmland q's (could be little as $1.50ea) Includes All Natural style (you just get 12 oz, instead of 16 oz pkg) This is a stock-up price.

Johnsonville Brats, Franks and Sausage are 2/$6 lots of q's, inc. for Turkey Sausage, etc.

Grande Tortilla Chips are 2/3.50 A few had $2 off Beef when you buy 2 peelies on them. I also used a $1/1 q. I'm not sure it should have worked, but the cashier pushed it through. Even without that, it would be $.75 each.

Dillons

I'm hoping there are some unadvertised deals. This week's ad is a mirror of last week's. Still running the Daytona Promo.

The biggest deal in the ad for me was Sara Lee Buns $1.38, if you have the $1/1 q, good buy!! This is for white only--wheat buns are $1.99, so $.99 after q.

I found quite a few fantastic deals tonight.

Santa Cruz Lemonade on sale again 3/$5. Use Go Organic! q's for $.75/1 (makes it $1 off) and get them for $.67 each.

Lots of clearance at store on St. Louis. Emergen-C $4.89 (use $1/1 q), Rainbow Light Men's vitamins $4.99, etc.

I ran into quite a few manager specials, too.

Here is what I ended up with:

At Price Cutter I spent $26.50 (will get $10 MIR back)
6 pkgs All Natural (nitrite-free) bacon, 2 bags tortilla chips, , Sargento and Borden cheeses, 2 Creekstone Farm Natural Steaks, brown sugar, and 3 containers of organic strawberries (all 3 for $1--they are jam berries**wink**)

At Dillons I spent $29.72
Cascadian Farms froz. Broccoli (manager's special), 9 bottles Santa Cruz lemonade, organic milk, organic butter,
organic salad mix (manager's special and used q--total $.49!), Lays and Sunny D to donate, 2 boxes Emergen-C, 2 boxes Shiff Move Free (got them free!!), luna bar and think bar, 2 organic pears, bananas, Luzianne tea, bottle Kraft bbq sauce (free).

Let me know what you find!

Grocery Highlights: Dillons & Target

Got all of this at Dillon's for $28. Not sure if it looks like a great deal to you, but consider about half is organic! (What do you think? Worth a pic or not?) BTW, you might not be able to tell, but it includes organic butter and a whole Smart Chicken (manager special).

Dillons

Did you print the Tyson Fresh Chicken q I posted a couple days ago? I hope so, because it's gone now. If you did, Dillons has chicken legs for $.99/lb. I bought four packs today and only paid between $.20 - $.25 each.

There is a promo this week, where if you buy 10 participating items, you get $3 off your order.

Here is what I did. (I'll list prices b4 discount--which is backward from how everyone else does it)
Kraft BBQ sauce $.99 Bought 6, used 6 $.75/1 q's = free
Ragu Sauce $1.66 Bought 3, used 3 $.60/1 q's = $.66 each
Multi-Grain Cheerios $2.66 Bought1, used $1/1 q, plus $.75 off e-q from Shortcuts = $.91
THEN I got $3 off my total bill (so the bbq sauce, especially, earned $$)

Cantaloupe $1.67

Organic Grapes still marked $1.99/lb Rang up $2.29/lb I asked to get free, per pricing accuracy policy (I can deal with a hateful cashier to get free grapes **eye roll**)

Organic Lemons $.44 each

Clif, Luna and Mojo Bars 10/$10 Use $1/3 q in Go Organic! Book (this is a good price--not great, only a few cents less than Target and Walmart)

There were organic canned beans in the clearance bin for $.99 each.

Here's an idea to get free/cheap sugar, also. There were q's on coupons.com a few weeks ago for Kool-aid $.50/10. IF you printed two of them (I did not, sigh, who knew!?), look for 10/$1 sale (would double and be free). Use those 2 q's AND the one in last week's paper for $2 off sugar wyb 20 pks kool-aid (does not specify type of sugar--brown, white..., or brand--organic, cane, etc.)

Target
I ran by there today in the hopes of snagging nearly free ice cream. It was all gone. However, keep your eyes peeled in case they restock (which they rarely do in cases of great deals). The Target Coupon Generator (find on Organic Grocery Deals) has a coupon for $1/1 Edy's or Dreyer's Ice Cream. There is a small size on sale for $1.19 right now.

Go to coupons.com (use in upper right, please!) and print the $5/1 for Pictureka. You can find the card game at Target (and prob. Walmart, etc.) for $6.99, so only $1.99 after q. I got one today. My kids love games.

Solo "Bare" brand eco-forward disposable cups/plates are on sale for $1.50 Find a $1/1 q HERE.

Post a comment or email if you want more info on how I found a q, etc.

Dillons: Coupons

Dillons is offering a coupon for $.55/1 bag of Private Selection organic cheese HERE
Keep in mind that this coupon probably will not double. It exp. 7/31 If you still have Kraft or Sargento coupons, that may be the better deal for awhile. Hopefully the PS cheese will have a big sale.

I won't do Dillons match-ups till I get to the store (later tonight), because there was not much to mention from the ad.

Grocery Highlights: Target & Dillons

Target

Print Target coupons HERE. You can format them to fit two rows/page.

If you printed the Baked Lays coupon $1/1 from Smartsource.com, you can pair it with the Target coupon for $1/1. They are on sale for $3 = $1 each

Back to Nature Graham Sticks are clearanced at $1.94 Get $1/1 coupon HERE --This is pdf, so you can print as many as you need.

So after stocking up on mayo last week for $.49 each, this week, it is now Free! Kraft mayo, on sale $1.99 (includes olive oil mayo). Use $1/1 from insert q's or coupons.com, stacked with Target q for $1/1 (this q is also good on dressings)

Kashi cereals and bars are all $2.88 Use q's from coupons.com for $1.50/2 or use the $1/1 for Honey Sunshine.

Yoplait Yo-plus yogurt is $2.09 Use the $1/1 q from coupons.com (use my link in the top right corner, pretty please!)

Kashi frozen waffles are $1.79 They have yet to restock them at our store. Urrgghhh. But, if they have them at your store, use the $1.50/1 q to get them for $.29 each!

The One Dollar section at Target has tons of stuff at 30% off (Just look for the green dot by the upc code). I found DD a cute metal sign that says "Trees are for Hugging"

Health & Beauty still has LOTS of clearance. They are resetting the department, so take advantage while you can. Tonight I saw:

Bunches of Purex, inc. Natural Elements marked down to $2.82 (?) There have been some insert q's for $.30/1, etc.

Pure & Natural soap 2-packs These even had $1/1 coupons sticking out of the packaging! Or use the one on coupons.com

Lots of Method products throughout the store.

Kiss My Face kids products..... and lots more. It is going fast, though.

I also got a few Johnson & Johnson first aid kits. They are over by the trial section. $.99 each Use the $1/1 J & J Red Cross insert q.

Dillons

There was very little on sale in the natural/organic section. NP organic milk $2.99 Pears still $.99/lb

Dole Pineapple was $1.45 Use the $.50/1 q I posted awhile back to get them for $.45 I would still like to see it go lower--even free!

Most other things I noted in the post I made this morning.

I got free Weber seasonings, free colgate toothpaste, free kitten chow, free hand soap.

I also bought Sabra Hummus (I posted a q for this). It was on sale for $3.99 I got home and realized it rang up $4.99 Dillons has a policy that it rings up right or is free. I intend to call or go by there and let them know. I am pretty sure they will refund that item for me. Something for you to keep in mind. I always try to double check my receipt before I leave the store--but the more kids with me, the more distractions.

The Grocery Weekly (link on the right) does some match-ups for Dillons.

My Dillons Trip 3/25

I posted the match-ups for this week already. So much of that is stuff we won't use--you might not either. Maybe I will just mention what I found of interest. You may or may not eat similarly, but hopefully you will find some benefit from it.

I went shopping on Wed. and saved $50.89. About $38.00 was manufacturer coupons and doubling. The rest was store coupons. (the discounted price you get with your Plus Card)

3 boxes of Kashi cereal bars $3.99, used 3- $2/1 coupons (there have been better sales on these, but my coupons were about to expire)

2 bunches of bananas

Tostitos Natural Corn Chips (these are my fave corn chips, love the flavor!) $3.50 used .55/1 which was doubled to $1/1

Barbara's Puffins Cereal $3.79 (was on sale last week, boo hoo) used $1/1 (you can print this off coupons.com right now--great coupon!! Just click on the link in top right corner)

Sweet Potatoes on sale for .99/lb

2 Jars of Pace Picante sauce, used 2- $4/1 (printed off internet-gone now) overage went towards rest of my groceries. I may donate these. or cook with them-- no preservs, etc.

Broccoli Crowns

2 Boxes Kroger Deluxe Shells & Cheese $1.50 each I still debate over these. They are made with real cheese.... It's nice to have something quick for DH to cook. Not as great as Annie's, but cheaper. LMK if you have an opnion.

Tomatoes on the vine

1 yellow squash and 1 zuke

Organic Arugala-- manager's special $.99 was a little dried out, but I am going to look for a recipe to cook with it.

2 Vegetable trays-- manager's special $1.99ea maybe more than I should have paid. Kids devoured them. I took out the celery to give away, since it's on the dirty dozen. I should make my own veggie trays more. This proved it.

2 Progresso Soups (no msg, etc.) Shortcuts e-coupon $.50/1 and 1 coupon for $1.50/2

Kraft shredded mozzarella $2.19 I go back and forth on shredded cheese. I prefer Sargento, but am a sucker for a sale.

3 Organic Pears

2 Nabisco Artisan Wheat Thins $2.19ea used B1G1 coupon only 1.10 each!

Orville Red. MiniBags Garlic Popcorn 2/$4 used cellfire e-cp for $1.00 off

Simply Orange Juice w/Pineapple $3.50 used .55 off doubled to $1.00

Heartland WW Spaghetti $1.50 used $.55 off doubled to $1.00 only .50!!

2 cans Muir Glen organic Diced Tomatoes $1.79 (i have heard walmart carries these for only $1.18 each--not in rural MO, though!) used 2-$1.00 coupons (print from mambo sprouts or healthe)
I try to keep as many of these coupons as I can.

Lemishine (this stuff is a lifesaver if you have hardwater! I asked Wags to start carrying it so I can try to get it free)

Crest Toothpaste free with pg e-cp and manuf. coupon Will donate.

Gillette Shampoo free with pg e-cp and manuf. coupon. Will donate if DH doesn't want it.

My big find for the day!!
2-Imagine free Range organic Chicken Broth 32 oz. 2.99ea used cp for $1.50 off 2 They each had a $2 off your order cp when you buy a Spectrum product. So before that let's say they cost $1.75 ea--pretty good price.
I then found a jar of Spectrum organic coconut oil for $7.79 I just happened to have a $1/1 coupon. =) So take my $4 off that and it was only $2.79 Dirt cheap!!! And I was just about out.

So, all that was 65.38 I felt pretty good about it.

Don't forget you get a $.05 bag credit for every bag you bring in.

The other benefit to Dillon's, as you can see demonstrated above, is the ability to use e-coupons on your Plus Card.
Check out coupons on Cellfire, Shortcuts, and PG e-Saver Let me know if you want more info on this.

It's late. I'm tired. Hope this made sense.
